John 13:34 - A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
The people of Trinity believe in loving all our neighbors as ourselves. We reach out to all those seeking to worship God in a place of love, companionship and care.

Trinity has been serving God and our community since 1849 and is the oldest continuous congregation in Aurora. But just because we have a rich history does not mean that we don't have a bright future.

We welcome you to Trinity Episcopal Church's Website! We strive to keep it up to date and meaningful. Come back often to check out new photos, upcoming events and our Trinity Blog. We invite you to join us in our celebrations of God's love and to share in our journey towards Him!

On Sunday, October 31st, 2010, Trinity welcomed the Rev. Canon Randall Warren from the Diocese who gave a wonderful sermon on Jesus visiting the home of Zacchaes, the tax collector. Jesus says to Zacchaes, "This day is salvation come to this house, foresomuch as he also is a son if Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and save that which was lost." After the Service, Father Warren reviewed with us the results of "The Congregational Assessment Tool" based on the 35 of us who took the survey and turned it in by the deadline. There were two sets of responses; the general survey and the results of the discernment about starting a Hispanic Ministry and an executive summary of the results. They are linked below. I suggest that you read them in the order presented. Trinity Aurora Vital Signs Trinity Aurora Supplemental Responses Trinity Aurora Summary Documents
The results were very positive and gave us some concrete things to discuss and work on. Father Warren warned us to work on keeping our moral high in light of current financial challenges facing Trinity.

On November 21st, 2010, Sunday Evening, Trinity will participate in an Interfaith Thanksgiving Service. Join us in this beautiful mosaic of the American Religious experience. This event is a truly American Service of thanksgiving with Baha'i, Christian, Islamic and Jewish worship. The service will be held at the Aurora Mosque, located at 1187 Timberlake Drive in Aurora.

Check out Kimberly's new article for 'The Recycle Bin", Here. Note that our September challenge is to eliminate the use of plastic water bottles! Good Luck!

Check out our new addition to the 'About Us' web page. We added our Prayer List as a new page which will be updated weekly. If you have additions, please contact Linda at the Church (630.897.7283)

We have started a new group: The Road Back; A Grief Group. 'We come together in all times and seasons - good times and in bad times. The group meets every second Monday at 4:30 pm. Come and learn new ways to cope with significant losses in your life. If you are interested in participating, please call Linda at 630.897.7283 for more information and directions to the meeting. The next meeting is Monday, June 21st, 2010.

Last January we began our Adult Education Journey as we began Sunday Morning Bible Study Classes at 8am and 10:30am. Both Classes are using the book, "The Story" as our study guide. "The Story" is the 'story of the Bible, God's great love affair with humanity, Condensed into 31 accessible chapters, The Story sweeps you into the unfolding progression of Bible characters and events arranged chronologically from Genesis to Revelation. Using the clear, accurate, and easy-to-understand text of Today's New International Version, it allows the stories, poems, and teachings of the Bible to read like a novel. And like any good story, The Story is filled with intrigue, drama, conflict, romance, and redemption.' The plan is to cover one chapter per week using This Schedule. (Click on the underlined words and the schedule will open). Join us as we journey together throughout the year!
