Congregation Etz Chaim of DuPage County serves more than 550 families in the western suburbs of Chicago. Our synagogue is conveniently located near I-88 and I-355 between Roosevelt and Butterfield Roads, at 1710 South Highland Avenue in Lombard, Illinois.

Tonight, November 26th ~ College Homecoming Night
Home from college? Attend any of the great local colleges? Please join us at Shabbat Services this Friday at 8:15pm as the Rabbis welcome you back. This is a wonderful time to not only celebrate Shabbat but to see all your college friends.
Hanukkah Family Night- Sunday, December 5th
The school committee has planned their Hanukkah Family Fun Night for Sunday, December 5th 3:45 PM - 6:30 PM. This year our entertainment will be the Shining Lights, a singing group of Jewish teens from the Chicagoland area. Read more here.
December 3rd Family Hanukkah Shabbat Service
Please join us for Shabbat Services as we not only rejoice in Shabbat but also the holiday of Hanukkah by lighting the Menorah, singing the Hanukkah blessings and other songs.
Needed College Students Address
We still need both regular mailing addresses and email addresses of freshmen as well as returning college students. In order for your college student to get their "holiday package" we need addresses ASAP. Please send address information to the synagogue office by email.
Manna Gift Cards for PADS
Looking for a way to contribute to PADS this winter? For the past three years, Etz Chaim congregants have given gift cards to our PADS guests over the New Year’s weekend. Read more here.

Hanukkah Begins Wednesday, December 1st
Hanukkah begins at sunset on Wednesday, December 1st. During this holiday we light the menorah, sing songs, play dreidel and, of course, eat lots of latkes. Hanukkah is a holiday not only for children to enjoy, but to be celebrated with family and friends. Read more here.
SYG Humanitarian Service Project
From November 19th to December 3rd, SYG is having a birthday party supply drive for the Humanitarian Service Project. We will be accepting food supplies as well as accessories (candles, plates, napkins, etc.), to be separated and assembled into birthday care packages by the SYG at an upcoming event. Drop off box will be in the synagogue lobby.
Saturday, December 11th Adult Education Program ~ "Getting to God" Shabbaton
Rabbi Marc Belgrad will share his “Getting to God” adult shabbaton. Having educated and engaged us during our 50th Anniversary weekend, Rabbi Belgrad returns to share a unique full day program offering an opportunity for participants to reflect on their thoughts, feelings and explorations of the meaning of God in their lives.
