Lessons and Carols December 5

8:00am, 9:15am and 10:45am
A joyous service of Word and music!
In our Lessons & Carols services, we will hear alternating Scripture readings and music led by the Peace Choir and Orchestra. Our readings will begin with the Old Testament prophecies concerning the coming Messiah. These prophetic passages were written centuries before Jesus was born.
Then we'll hear the powerful Christmas story, the beautiful accounts from Matthew, Luke and John. Throughout, choirs and orchestra will present a wide range of music, from powerful anthems of celebration to poignant reminders of our need for this Babe of Bethlehem.
And of course, we'll sing many of our favorite carols together!
Come, bring your friends and family and join us for this powerful service!

Advent Services begin Wednesday, December 1 at 7:15pm.
Join us for pre-service dessert in the Lobby beginning at 6:30pm each Wednesday during Advent.

Peace has committed to daily reading and reflecting on the Bible during 2010 and 2011. We began on Jan 1, 2010 and will finish on Dec 31, 2011. A system of readings, a "path" , has been laid out to read the entire Bible over the course of two years. This is based on a two-year reading plan in a bimonthly publication of Concordia Publishing House called Today's Light. It includes daily devotions,frequent practical lessons on prayer, and online questions for reflection.
