* The November issue of The Shield is now available on this website. It was recently emailed to parishioners and friends of St. Andrews.The single pdf document includes the November newsletter, calendar and schedule. If you wish to be be added to the distribution list for the parish newsletter, email the Parish Secretary at standrewssec@sbcglobal.net. Also notify her of any email address changes.

* October was Stewardship Month at St. Andrews. Stewardship packets were distributed on Sunday, October 17 and pledge cards were to be returned on October 31. The pledges will be blessed on Sunday, November 7, Commitment Sunday.

* Mark your calendar for St. Andrews Art Auction on Saturday, November 20, 6:30 pm at GC Cuisine in Edwardsville. This event is sponsored by the Nurture St. Andrews Committee and is open to the public. Admission is $5. Tickets will be available from the members of the Nurture Committee and GC Cuisine on Route 157 near Governor's Parkway beginning October 31.

* The Nurture Committee is currently solicitng Talent Sale items from parishioners so that a booklet of talents and services can be prepared in time for the January 2011 Annual Meeting. Items already submitted include food to go, car washing, computer assistance, storytelling for a birthday party and photography lessons.

* St. Andrews welcomes The Reverend Daniel Hayden Martins as Bishop-Elect of the Episcopal Diocese of Springfield. The Rev. Martins, Rector of St. Anne's, Warsaw, Indiana, was elected as the 11th Bishop of Springfield on September 18, 2010. The Most Reverend Dr. Katherine Jefferts Schori, Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church, will be the Chief Consecrator for his ordination and consecration on Saturday, March 19, 2011.
