There has been a significant increase in ATM and Debit Card fraud reported throughout Northern Illinois.
Golden Eagle Community Bank seriously suggests the following activities as a preventative to debit card fraud:
1. Change your pin often.
* This can be done by calling 1-800-448-8268.
* Stop in and see a Golden Eagle Community personal banker.
* You can change your pin at the GECB ATM.

3. Monitor your account regularly.
If you suspect that you might have been a victim of fraud:
* Notify your personal banker immediately at 815-321-5000.
* We will block your card and order a new debit card.
* Notify the local police.

Golden Eagle Community Bank is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2010, all non-interest bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account.
