Dr. Robert C. Russell, M.D., FACS, FRACS, is an accomplished surgeon with more than 30 years of experience in the field of plastic surgery. He is Chairman of Plastic Surgery at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield and a clinical Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.

During your initial visit, we’ll talk with you about your concerns and goals, discuss what options would be appropriate for your specific situation, and determine if you are a good candidate for any procedure that you are considering. You’ll meet Dr. Russell and our staff, get straight-forward, honest answers to all your questions, and we’ll make sure you understand what to expect from every step along the way.
By the end of the visit, you’ll have all the information you need to be able to make an informed decision about your procedure. Our goal is to make sure that you make the choice that is right for you.

Unlike spa and day centers, Heartland Plastic Surgery Center is a full-service reconstructive and cosmetic surgery practice. We are centrally located between St. John’s Hospital and Memorial Hospital in Springfield. Dr. Russell also performs surgery at Hopedale Hospital in Hopedale, Illinois, and at Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield, Illinois.
