Children's Therapy Center of the Quad Cities
Our mission: To provide therapy services to children with developmental disabilities and developmental delays in order to help them achieve their highest level of independence.
Incorporated in 1949 as the Crippled Childrens Foundation of Rock Island County, what is now the Childrens Therapy Center of the Quad Cities has been an important part of the service delivery system for persons with disabilities and their families for 59 years. The Foundation operated a Treatment Center for both children and adults with disabilities out of a remodeled home on the campus of Augustana College in Rock Island from the fall of 1951 to summer of 1991.
The Childrens Therapy Center is currently located at 1504 13th Avenue in Moline, Illinois, and offers medical rehabilitation therapy services to children with developmental disabilities and developmental delays.
Over the years, thousands of individuals and their families have benefited from our services regardless of their ability to pay for the services. Now, with a focus on young children, the Childrens Therapy Center is a major service provider for children and families throughout Western Illinois and Southeastern Iowa. It is a great privilege and responsibility to help children with developmental disabilities achieve their highest level of independence.
Our primary services include the following:
Direct therapy services to children are provided only by therapists who are licensed in both Illinois and Iowa. The Childrens Therapy Center does not use aides or assistants in direct therapy to children.
Additional services include:
The Childrens Therapy Center of the Quad Cities participates in the Early Intervention System of the State of Illinois, and accepts payment from private insurance companies (i.e. United Healthcare), and from Illinois and Iowa Medicaid. Scholarships to help pay the cost of therapy services are available to families with limited resources.
