Welcome to the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, the main church of the Episcopal Diocese of Springfield and seat of the Bishop. We are a loving and welcoming community of faith, following the teachings of Christ in the Anglo-Catholic tradition. Our calling is to proclaim the Gospel so that we can make disciples for Christ and reach out to a hurting world. We are serving Christ and one another. We invite you to become a part of our community of prayer and service!
Worship is the center of Catherdral life, with either Holy Eucharist (Mass) Rite I or Rite II celebrated each Sunday. The Rite I Eucharist is a tradtional spoken service. Rite II uses Anglo-Catholic ceremony (incense and chanting are common) although it is written in modern language and is accompanied by the choir. Holy Eucharist (Rite II) is also celebrated in the chapel at 12:15 p.m. Monday - Thursday. Communion in the Episcopal Church is open to all Christians, baptized in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, regardless of denomination.
Join us for coffee and conversation in the Caf immediately after the service.
Dr. Hinton will lead a class discussing the Devil & Demons under the bigger topic Evil in modern religious thinking. The Devil is a well-known figure in Christian art & media. Please join us in the Canterbury House Adult Christian Ed Classroom for this very interesting topic.
