Welcome to Affton's Academy of Music and Dance. My name is Affton Waldon and I would like to thank you for taking time to learn more about Affton's Academy of Music and Dance. Currently we have 2 locations, one in Herrin and the other in Mt. Vernon. You will find a lot of information on this website, but if there is something that I did not address or if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
First, let me give you a little background information on myself. I have owned Affton's Dance Academy for 9 years in Herrin. In 2007, I decided to open a 2nd location in Mt. Vernon. I have been teaching dance for 17 years. In my youth, I danced professionally with the St. Louis Ballet Company. I have also performed in the Citrus Bowl Halftime Show. In the Fall of 2009 we expanded our services to include a new music program. Please check back for more information on the music program. I have a Bachelor's Degree in elementary Education and currently reside in the Metro St. Louis area with my husband Adam and my son Austin.
