Intense Pulsed Light
Have you ever wondered about the differences between laser and intense pulsed light (IPL)? Ada Polla Tray, from the Society of Plastic Surgical Skincare Specialists, writes in the latest newsletter that IPL devices are not lasers. They are very different, both from technology and treatment perspectives. IPL is non-monochromatic, meaning consisting of a single wavelength. While lasers produce a single wavelength, thus targeting a single light beam, IPL devices use filters.
