Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I offer private psychotherapy and consulting services. Seeking assistance through therapy is a powerful step toward healing and growth. It is one of the best things you can do for yourself. A major life event or difficult circumstance can throw you off-kilter. Through therapy, you can regain a sense of balance and joy.

Do you want to give yourself time and space to heal from a difficult event, loss, or transition?

Do you want to understand more about your relationships, yourself, and your path in life?

Do you feel tired, that your energy is sapped? Do you want to have enough energy for the things are really important to you?

Do you want to build strength to approach life with more confidence, understanding, and direction?

My role is to support you in working toward your specific goals. My approach is compassionate, warm, and holistic. I see the best in others and have a sense of humor, which many people appreciate. I believe every person has the resources to get through things and to grow from or in spite of lifes challenges.

In addition to counseling individuals and couples regarding relationships, work, anxiety, grief, and other issues, I provide specialized therapy for parents and children. Every parent needs some extra help and support with their kids. Reaching out for assistance can help you and your child feel happier and more at ease. Many parents find it helpful to meet with me to talk about their frustrations and questions about parenting. I also work directly with children to help them express feelings and develop healthy patterns of relating. Therapy can be especially beneficial for children who are coping with transitions or losses, experiencing anxiety, or having social difficulties.

I teach graduate level social work courses and provide consulting services for school social workers, schools, and social service agencies.

You are welcome to read more about my services on this site. Taking the first step to see a therapist can be difficult, but it can have a tremendously positive effect on your health and happiness. Please feel free to contact me at 773-758-4321 if you have questions or would like a free phone consultation. Although it may be hard to make that first phone call, many people feel better after we talk.
