In the Black/In the Green: combining environmental concerns with fiscal responsibility

Hello this is the first entry on the In the Black/In the Green blog.
There is a lot to talk about when thinking about the state of the planet that we live in. These are the times when decisions have to be made on the direction we want to take. Often the debate rages about choice i.e. the choice between doing what is right for our environment and making maximum profit on a given enterprise. Already we begin to see the consequences of poor choices due to lack of foresight and lack of planning. To create a economic situation that fiscally repsonsible without being ecologically foolish requires planning from the ground up, not a reactionary stopgap that solves nothing in the long run.
This page will go over the role that accounting plays in how we seeour situation. How we can see these times not as a trial but as an opportunity to create a ‘new’ industrial revolution thatadds to our planet instead of stripping it of its’ resources and decreasing its’ habitability.
