Achieve provides tutoring and enrichment in reading, math, and algebra as well as study skills and ACT/SAT test preparation. All of our instructors hold an Illinois teaching license and our programs are research-based. Each program is organized around a set of sequenced skills. This allows us to test students upon entry, idenify a set of definable goals, and systematically measure progress toward those goals. On average our students improve one grade level over 48 hours of instruction delivered over four months.

Achieve's Reading and Math Programs are research-based. Each program is divided into a set of ordered skills that have been shown to produce success. Upon entry students are tested to determine their level on each skill and then a program is developed to strengthen skill gaps. Students continue in their program until they have mastered all grade-level appropriate goals.

Achieve takes a different approach to ACT / SAT preparation focusing on reading speed and comprehension as a core aspect of preparation. Once students demonstrate that they can read at 250 words per minute with 80% comprehension, we begin to focus on more traditional test preparation strategies.
