Cremer Guitarworks has been serving the fretted instrument repair needs of the greater Chicagoland area (and beyond) since 1975. Rick Cremer is the proprieter with three decades of experience in quality instrument repair and he performs or oversees all repairs which are done on premises.

Cremer Guitarworks is widely known & respected for:

Major and minor damage repair of fretted instruments
Expert setup of your instruments to keep them playing easily & sounding their best.
Expert touch up and refinishing on premises
Highly Polished Fret Leveling or Replacement with fingerboard planing if necessary.
Restoration or custom rewiring of electric guitars including pickup replacement or rewinding.
Amplifier and effect repair and adjustment on premises
Sales and service of a wide range of new and vintage instruments including guitars, banjos, mandolins, ukes, etc.
We purchase or take in trade good used instruments and amplifiers.

We do not have music lessons (but we can refer you to teachers in your area)
We do not work on violins, cellos etc, (but we can refer you to area repair facilities).
We do not carry drums or drum accessories.
We do not carry keyboards or keyboard accessories.
We do not carry music books or teaching method books (but we can refer you to
