Our wish at the Arlington Cake Box Bakery is to provide our customers with freshly baked products made from our original scratch recipes. To accomplish this we rely on a dedicated staff with years of experience. The baking family at the Arlington Cake Box consists of bakers, decorators and sales staff with over 100 years of combined experience. We are a group of individuals who enjoy creating delicious bakery products to the communities that we serve.

This family owned business was started by Walter and Wilma Aronson in 1949. Walter learned all about baking in his fathers Chicago bakery. When he opened The Arlington Cake Box in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, he brought with him the made from scratch Swedish and German recipes he had grown up with. He never gave up the tradition of quality taste and service he had learned.
In 1978, the business was passed onto Walter and Wilma Aronsons daughter Donna and her husband Robert Bollmann. Bob and Donna moved the bakery about 12 blocks from downtown Arlington Heights to the Westgate Park and Shop. Robert and Donna dedicated their lives to the bakery providing new recipes, baking techniques and quality service. Currently, the bakery is operated by Robert and Donnas daughter Karen and her husband Paul Gardner. Paul and Karen enjoy the challenges of operating a full-line production bakery and are constantly looking for new ideas for the bakery.
