Floors by Marcel, Inc. is a company I opened up in May of 2004. However, my experience goes back 12 years ago. In 1991 I began working for a family owned flooring company. I began working as a floor installer, sander, etc. Four years later I was offered a position as one of the company managers. As a manager I was directly involved in working with the customers. Some of my responsibilities consisted of meeting with the customers on the job sites or in their homes to help them decide how they wanted their floors done; showing samples and providing ideas; writing up estimates and quotes for the customer; managing the workers to make sure they completed jobs to the best degree of quality. I always wanted the customers to have the best service possible. I began getting more and more organized and enthusiastic about my job. After years of dedication, and feeling I had gained quite an experience in the flooring industry, I decided I was ready to move on and open my own flooring company. Thus, Floors by Marcel, Inc. was opened.
