Madison Adoption Associates is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity organization currently offering international adoption programs in the countries of China, the Philippines, and El Salvador. We are licensed in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Illinois; however, we work with families throughout the United States. Madison is proud to announce that we have achieved full Hague accreditation. According to the Council on Accreditation (COA), "Accreditation is a tremendous achievement that demonstrates that your organization has been recognized as a provider that has successfully implemented high performance standards and, as such, is delivering the highest quality services to all of its stakeholders."
Madison Adoption began in 1981 with a mother's love and desire to raise an adoptive family. Today, we are one of the largest independent non-profit international placement agencies.
China continues to be a very stable program, but the eligibility requirements were changed in May 2007, and the waiting time to receive a referral can be quite long. We have a very successful special needs program in China and are currently finding homes for 20-60 children per year through our efforts on behalf of these waiting children. You can view our waiting children by joining our Yahoo Group at www.groups.yahoo.com/group/MAAWC.
Our adoption programs in Guatemala and Bulgaria are currently on hold due to major changes taking place in the laws/procedures in those countries. We are not able to take any new applications at this time but are hopeful that things will get back to normal soon.
Madison has recently started working with the Social Services in Japan to place orphaned children. This is a very unique adoption program, and most of the children will be over 4 years old at the time of referral.
Madison is researching other adoption programs, both in the United States and internationally, where we provide hope for children who long for family of their own. We look forward to announcing these new programs soon!
Madison Adoption is committed to our purpose of helping as many children as possible join loving families. Through our efforts over the last 27 years, more than 1500 children know the joy of being a member of a loving family.
