Tiny Tot Preschool is licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services,
part of the Illinois Department of Human Services. In addition the school is inspected and approved
by the State Fire Marshall, Skokie Fire Department and the Skokie Health Department.
The school provides full and half-day care for children ages 15 months through 6 years.
Enrollment is open to children of any race, nationality, sex or ethnic origin.
The program is designed to provide experiences, which will enhance the childs
social, emotional, intellectual and physical development in a stimulating and nurturing environment.

Art, music, cooking, dramatic play, block play, problem solving, physical activities,
language experiences and self-help experiences are all part of the program.
Opportunities for working and playing in small and large groups
and individually are available. Children are encouraged to explore,
create and express themselves at their own levels.
The classroom environment is designed to promote and encourage learning
and development through socialization, exploration, experiences with
a variety of materials, self-awareness and informal play.

Play is an essential tool for learning. It is through play that children come to understand natural and physical properties, develop fine and gross motor skills, learn to use language, develop a sense of imagination, social relationships, self-control and respect for one another and the environment.

There is an open door policy at Tiny Tot Preschool
and Kindergarten for all our parents.
Parents are encouraged to visit and observe,
attend field trips and be a part of our program
in any way they can. We believe that parents are
the first and most significant teachers
in the life of their child. A good partnership between
school and home is a necessity for the
optimum growth of your child. We must work together
in order to provide an exciting and
happy experience for our children. Parents are
encouraged to share all information that
could help in making your childs experience the best it can be.
