All seams and roof penetrations are treated with Bentonite clay-based emulsion and high strength polyester reinforcing fabric to provide a flexible, watertight seal.
Owens Corning fiberglass roving is pneumatically fed into a high tech chopping wand and chopped into millions of 1" fiberglass strands. The strong fiberglass strands are blown mid-air into 2 fan patterns of Bentonite clay-based emulsion. The precise blending takes place before the two components reach the roof surface. The result is a very durable, seamless, flexible fiberglass shell on your metal roof.
The final surface is a highly reflective layer of aluminized Bentonite clay-based emulsion. This heat reflective surfacing lowers energy bills and reduces wear and tear on your A/C equipment.
The Metal Shield roofing system is installed by factory trained and certified
installers of the high-tech chopped fiberglass roof systems.

Loose gravel and dirt are removed using an industrial vacuum on larger jobs, or power-broomed with a motorized broom on smaller roofs.
Details, details, details! Long roof life is in the details. Penetrations and rooftop equipment receive an independent treatment of polymat and emulsion asphalt for added strength in these critical areas.
Parapet and firewalls also receive an independent treatment of polymath and emulsion. Notice the flashing is all one piece, without the usual splices inherent in convention built-up roof systems.
Polymat is installed in a thick flood-layer of clay-based emulsion asphalt and broomed in to conform to irregularities. The polymath has brute strength that outperforms other roofing felts.
Fiberglass reinforcing fibers are chopped into ¾" strands and blended mid-air with clay-based emulsion with this high tech chopping gun system. It's seamless, light weight and extremely durable.
Final surface options include aluminized clay-based emulsion asphalt for long-lasting heat reflection.

Roofing Technology is a full-service roofing contractor that completes low slope (flat surface roofs) and steep slope (shingle roofs). Our focus is mainly in the Industrial / Commercial market, but we do residential when requested. Roofing Technology mainly installs 4 ply asphalt or Coal Tar Pitch roofs with gravel surfaces, these roofs are the traditional Built-up roofs. We also install EPDM (rubber) roofs which can be totally adhered or ballasted. We also install white TPO membranes but only install totally adhered systems.
Roofing Technology does not install mechanically fastened membranes nor do we install new roofs over old roofs without a roof moisture survey to find and remove any wet insulation. We install shingles on Industrial and Commercial jobs and on residential as requested.
Roofing Technology also resurfaces existing roofs that are in good enough condition to have the roof membrane restored with an Acrylic coating, emulsion, or solvent base mastic. Metal roofs! are repaired with new metal or we can install a single ply membrane or roof coating depending on the owners needs.
