This website is dedicated to residents of Chicago who are interested in growing fruits, vegetables, and other plants on their own land. We have an interest in green living, which includes recycling, repurposing materials, and conservation of our earth's resources.
Currently we are growing the following crops on our Chicago Farm:
Along with our little Chicago Farm we also have begun composting our yard clippings. We recycle all aluminum, metal, paper, cardboard, and plastic products as well. This greatly reduces the amount of trash we throw out. We conserve water by utilizing a rain barrel and are seeking to have a metered water account at our home.

Our sunflowers are looking good! Unfortunately our pumpkin crop did not come in this year. Better luck next year I guess. We're preparing our garden for another Chicago winter and will be back strong next spring!
Although it got off to a late start this year, our garden is coming along. Everything is growing well in during a warm August. Our compost bin is also right on schedule. It should provide some nice soil for our 2011 crops.
