On November 22, 1909, 13 determined physicians signed the incorporation papers of the Whiteside Public Hospital to establish, operate, and maintain a hospital for the care and treatment of people in need of medical and surgical care. Soon they secured a building at 904 West Fourth Street, and the rest is history. Our tradition of caring enters another century in November, 2009, said Ed Andersen, CGH Medical Center CEO. Our story is also your story. To the thousands who turn to us each year, we are more than a place. We are a community of professionals with big hearts who are committed to a better life for our patients.
