Robert W. Overdorf, DDS
Dr. Overdorf opened his St. Charles practice in 1975. He attended Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois and graduated in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He went on to study dentistry at Loyola University and graduated in 1974.
Dr. Overdorf continues to regularly attend professional educational courses, workshops and seminars to bring the most current techniques to his patients.
A native of the western suburbs. Dr. Overdorf was pleased to return to this area to serve the people of the Fox River Valley. He knows that problems with your mouth can affect your overall health. The opposite is also true and it is important to detect dental problems early so that your mouth and entire body remain healthy.
Dr. Overdorf provides gentle and thorough care. He desires to put your needs and wishes first and advise you on the best long-term preventive plan for healthy, attractive teeth. Do not hesitate to discuss, with him or his staff, any concerns that you may have about your oral health.

When we reserve a time for you and/or your family member(s) we always try to be on time and we hope you are, too. We understand that unexpected problems sometimes arise. Please contact us if you find yourself delayed and we will try to contact you if our schedule is disrupted.
We appreciate 24 hours notice if you are unable to keep your appointment.
At every dental visit, please bring a list of any medications you are taking, including both prescriptions and over-the-counter products.
At each visit, in addition to screening your teeth for signs of tooth decay, you will be examined for signs of peridontal (gum) disease and any changes in your oral tissues, head and neck. Dental X-rays may be necessary as part of your regular exam. During your visit we will examine your bite and check your temporomandibular (jaw) joints for signs of problems.
We feel it is important to teach you how to keep your mouth healthy using specific techniques and readily available equipment.
If you have a dental emergency, call us and explain your problem. We will schedule a time to see you, with respect to our other patients, as quickly as possible.

Office Fees and Insurance
We expect you to make arrangements for payment of dental care at time of service. For your convenience we accept Visa and MasterCard.
Dental Insurance is a contract between you and your insurance carrier. Insurance plans vary and may cover a portion to all of your dental costs. Please bring the proper insurance information to your appointment and we will be happy to assist you in filing whatever your insurance company requests.
If you do not have insurance, payment options can be discussed when extensive services are needed.
