Our son Adam has lived in a Clearbrook group home since 1997. On a weekend visit he told us, Clearbrook is my home. I get to see my friends there. Nothing comforts us more than hearing him say that. Roberta and Dennis, Clearbrook parents.
It started as a dream for five families 55 years ago. A chance for education. A way to connect with their peers. A path to self-sufficiency. A focus on ability not disability. Today, Clearbrook is the largest provider in the state of Illinois of services, programs and support for children and adults with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities. Five families paved the way. Since then, new milestones have been achieved everyday. What was thought impossible then is a part of everyday life for 3,300 individuals and their families each year.
Thank you for voting for Clearbook in the Sears Billion Points contest. Voting ended on November 3. On or around November 14, Clearbrook will be notified if we won the grand prize - $273,870 in merchandise from Sears. Out of 44,000 entries, we were a top 20 contestant and have already won a $1,000 gift card from Sears - our clients will enjoy a shopping spree adventure! Regardless of the outcome, we are so lucky to have such dedicated supporters that helped us make it this far. Check back for the results!
