Twenty-eight students and several faculty members of the education department gathered to bury a time capsule near Evald Hall that contains their photos, letters, hopes and dreams as future teachers. Students plan to return to open the capsule during homecoming 2025. (more)

Nov. 1 is our recommended application date. That's when we begin sending out offers of admission and scholarship decisions.
On Nov. 30, Honors Program applications become available, and interviews begin.
While Augustana offers a rolling admission, the sooner you apply the better. Students who apply before Feb. 1, 2011, receive priority consideration.
from sex ethics to Plato
The Women's & Gender Studies department's annual Tea Hour series features faculty and guest speakers on a range of topics, from sexual ethics to fatherhood to Plato.
All programs take place at the Tredway Library, second floor south. Lectures are free and open to the public. (See the 2010-2011 schedule)
More than 200 alumni, employees and friends of Augustana gathered to sign their names on two large beams that will be used to support the floor of Old Main's restored dome during Homecoming. (more)
