Patrick J. Ahern, JD,LCSW, has over 20 years of clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of emotional, behavioral and relationship difficulties of adults, children, adolescents, couples and families. Mr. Ahern specializes in working with individuals who are wanting to improve the quality and meaningfulness of their lives. He assists individuals who want to enhance and improve interpersonal relationships and overcome feelings of being overwhelmed with parts of their lives. Mr. Ahern also works extensively with children, adolescents and their parents when their are difficulties in the home, school or community.

Mr. Ahern draws upon his extensive clinical experiance as a counselor, psychotherapist and consultant. He has worked for, consulted with and presented to a diverse array of service providers including, medical facilities, inpatient and outpatient adult and child psychiatry, comunity mental health centers, social service agencies, school systems, universities, court systems, churches, parishes, law firms and businesses.
Mr. Ahern is also an attorney and certified family mediator. Even though he is no longer practicing law or doing divorce mediation work he draws upon the knowledge, skills and experiences acquired in those professions to further assist his clients return to a higher level of functioning.
Mr. Ahern has been providing services to the Tri City/Fox River community at the St. Charles office location for the past 10 years.
