In recent years we have seen alot of "Out of state" Locksmith services place fictitious ads in our local phone books.
They use some very clever "marketing strategies" to get your business. They advertise local phone numbers & "false" local addresses to make you think that they are "Right around the corner"... They are not!
They will quote you one price & hand you a bill for alot more, explaining; "that the price quoted was for the service call only, and there is an actual charge for the service, that is added to the service call"
The State of Illinois can only do so much about it! It is really the phone book companies who are to blame! In their greed; they allow these crooks to advertise in our local books, false advertising & all.
