Many of our patients have told us that they have been searching for solutions to their or their child’s struggles for quite some time before they found us. Whether you have a child who is struggling with reading despite all attempts to help or you have difficulty with your balance, or trouble reading and/or working on your computer, we hope you will find our website helpful.
Dr. Getzell has helped people with a wide variety of problems. In many cases they had been told nothing could be done or that these were things they would have to live with or their child would outgrow (and they didn’t). Sometimes patients know that their problems relate to their vision when they come to our office, and sometimes they think these problems are due to other causes, such as AD(H)D, reading problems or learning disabilities, when it is actually a vision problem that is at the root of their difficulties. Sometimes many factors are contributing to the difficulties and vision is just one of the causes. In those cases, we have found that treating the vision problem can often play a crucial role in the patient’s overall treatment results or full recovery after a brain injury.
