S P C the place to be . . .
As part of the Archdiocese of Chicago, the largest non-public school system in the nation, St. Paul of the Cross benefits from a system-wide approach and direction to maintain and strengthen our Catholic Identity, Academic Excellence and School Vitality.
We are Catholic . . .
We are a Eucharistic community at the service of others. Children- centered liturgies and prayer services allow students the opportunity to worship together through prayer and song. As prayer partners, second and eighth help each other to prepare for and celebrate the sacraments of Reconciliation, Communion and Confirmation. Through service to others and the community students are encouraged to share their good fortune with those in need.
We are Excellent . . .
We provide a variety of learning experiences for a variety of students. With a high trained, highly credentialed, certified faculty, students needs are met with dedication and professionalism. The curriculum meets the Archdiocesan standards as well as being aligned with Illinois State Teaching Standards. The core curriculum of Religion, Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies and Science is balanced with Practical Fine Arts Instruction in Computer, Art, Music, Spanish and Physical Education.
Our graduates apply to and attend a variety of Catholic and public schools throughout Suburban Cook County and Chicago.
St. Paul of the Cross Elementary School annually receives full recognition from the Illinois State Board of Education.
We are Vital . . .
We know that the value of a Catholic education is a life-long investment in a childs future. With an active Home & School Association and School Board, committed parents and community members assist in helping to build and to serve community.
