...and I'm one of the fortunate few who found her calling some 20 years ago! Hi, I'm Stacey Scott, professional groomer and owner of Scottie's Highland Tails. I have always had a very unique rapport with animals and, from an artistic standpoint, I've always know that I wanted to work with my hands, so grooming came naturally to me.
At the end of the day, when the wee pets look great and their owners are happy, it's very satisfying to know that I've done my best. Whoever said that work is a "spiritual" thing sure knew what they were talking about!
It was in my native Scotland where I began -- first as a bather for a small shop in Glasgow, then as an apprentice groomer in Hertfordshire, England. After 3 years of intensive training -- with my skills honed and my hopes high -- I came to America and settled in Chicago.
