I am Dr. Dean Dietrich the owner of Pleasant Dental. I have been a dentist for over 20 years. I started Pleasant Dental in 2003 to provide a higher level of VALUE to patients.
For years I heard all of the consultants and many dentists talking about how we all needed to raise fees significantly. While fee increases are necessary to cover increased costs, most of these individuals were more interested in simply increasing the dentist's take home pay.

Pleasant Dental was my way of saying. "enough." From the very start this dental office was designed to be different. To provide MORE dentistry for your dollar not less. Now we have even finally brought relief to those without dental insurance. I proudly wear the title "the consumer's dentist." Today I take great joy and pride in providing this service to the southern parts of Chicago, the southern suburbs and the far north-western areas of Indiana.

Our practice is unlike any other dental practice you will visit in many ways. I sum up our practice concept in one sentence:

This sentence and the meaning of each thought expressed in it is the reason for our phenomenal success. You see, we opened this practice in the late spring of 2003. Already over 5000 people consider us their dentist. That is more than what many practices that have been open decades can boast.

To understand why so many have chosen us to care for their dental needs let me go through each part of our defining sentence.

Affordable: Dentistry, like any kind of medicine, is expensive these days. Since the opening of our office in Dolton we designed Pleasant Dental LLC to provide a “high value” to our patients. By this we mean we deliver the same conscientious quality you expect from any good dental practice at fees that are below independently reported area averages.

But that’s not the only way we make dentistry affordable. We also provide many options for making payments on your treatment. Additionally we accept virtually all PPO or regular insurance programs.

We even introduced our proprietary: eVIP program that can save you hundreds and even thousands on your dental care. If you don't have dental insurance, you need this.

Comfortable: O.K., the word “comfort” may not be something you associate with dentistry. Perhaps it is a relative thing but we certainly go out of our way to make sure your treatment is delivered in as considerate and, yes, comfortable a way as we can. In fact the one treatment we have more patients SLEEP through is root canal treatment. If we can make the dreaded root canal that boring, what do you think simpler care can be like?

Convenient: Our Dolton office is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. We have appointments as early as 8 am and as late as 4:30 pm. We also feature a playroom for the kids. So you don’t always need a sitter when it is appointment time for you.

Conscientious: Even though our fees are below average we do not cut corners with the treatment we deliver. We use only quality labs and materials. In fact using crowns as an example, we charge a below average fee for a typical porcelain and metal crown. Yet we use some of the most expensive materials and crown types available.

Up beat environment: While every member of the Pleasant Dental team is a highly skilled professional and they take the care we provide our patients seriously, we do not take ourselves too seriously. We often are laughing right along with our patients. Don’t expect stuffed shirts here.
