Specializing in art reference and illustrated books, signed First Editions, livres d'artistes, Surrealism, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, and German Expressionism.
917 Oakwood Terrace, Hinsdale, Illinois 60521, USA

We buy and sell quality art books of American, European and Latin-American artists. Our stock of about 5,000 volumes consists of rare, out-of-print and a few in-print art reference books, i.e. catalogues raisonns, artist monographs, important catalogues of museum exhibitions, along with some literary first editions and original prints. Our main specialty are modern illustrated books (or "livres d'artistes"), which are significant literary works illustrated with original lithographs, engravings and hand-colored or pochoir-painted plates by artists representing French Symbolism, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Dada, Surrealism, German Expressionism, Russian Avant-Garde, American Abstract Expressionism and other modern art movements.

As a member of the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of America (ABAA) and International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB) with a proven track record of knowledge, experience and integrity, we follow the code of ethics required by these organizations. We provide a predictable service with a personal touch, helping our customers to get the highest quality and value for the money spent. With our 40 years of combined collecting and business experience, we are qualified to consult our customers on building personal collections or purchasing a special gift.

We provide unconditional guarantee towards authenticity of all purchased items for one year from date purchased. With our extensive connections around the world, we can search for books in our specialty and bid at American and European auctions for a small fee. Customer information stays private with us, as it is not sold, traded or given away. For security reasons, we keep customer credit card information for no longer than one week.

If not satisfied for any reason, the customer may return items purchased from us within 10 days of receipt, no questions asked, in exactly the same condition, insured. Prior notification is required. Customer pays s&h both ways. There is a 3% restocking charge for returns; however, the refund is full if we had misdescribed the item.

Payments must always be made in advance. North American institutions can be billed. We accept Discover, VISA, Master Card and American Express for orders under $2000, but we will be happy to accept other types of payment for larger orders. In addition to US funds, we accept checks and wire transfers in Euro, GBP and Swiss francs. Prices are subject to change without notice and are net to all, including dealers. We do not offer discounts, and we do not negotiate our prices, regardless of number of books ordered.

Shipping & Handling cost is always extra and always billed to our own shipper account. Customer is advised to email us for a shipping quote before sending payment. We pack very carefully, always protecting the corners and edges of books; we make sure that the customer gets the book in the same condition as sent. Aside from rare exceptions, we do not ship with the post office.

Domestic orders are usually shipped with UPS Ground insured the next business day after receipt of payment. The cost of shipping and insurance of an art book of average size and weight is normally $8-$10. Shipments on the same day could also be arranged for UPS or FedEx delivery overnight or 2nd day.

Non-US orders are usually shipped with a very reliable economy air carrier, delivered in 8-14 business days anywhere in the world. This carrier does not charge brokerage fees. An average art book ships to Europe for $25-$35 insured. If requested, we could also ship with FedEx or DHL at our discounted rates, with delivery in 2-3 business days. All orders should be insured, as we will not be financially responsible for loss. While books are not dutiable in some countries, this may not be true in other countries.

Illinois State residents must pay a sales tax of 6.75%. Illinois dealers must submit a copy of the Certificate of Registration with a valid resale number.
