Focus on Musical Expressions Piano Teacher Sue Good
Sue Good comes from a very musical family. Sue’s father plays a variety of instruments ranging from the accordion to the piano and at one point during the 1940’s he performed in a Jazz/Swing group with his brothers. Growing up there was always music in the house with Sue, her brother Paul and sister Sharon fighting for piano time which only got worse as her brother Mark and sister Janet grew up and started taking lessons. At one point the house had three pianos and an organ, teachers coming in to give lessons and someone always practicing. That tradition continues today with her nieces and nephews developing their musical skills by taking lessons at Musical Expressions.
Sue continued with piano lessons at the American Conservatory of Music culminating with her BA in Piano Performance from Kansas State University. Sue has over 20 years teaching experience and has taught at Musical Expressions for more than 10 years. Sue’s teaching philosophy includes getting to know her students interests and having fun. With an eye (and ear) for detail Sue creates an individual lesson plan for each student and works with them to successful completion while building upon what has already been learned. Her belief is learning should be fun and she enjoys seeing her students excel.
