Whether you're just starting out or a seasoned pro, Byassee Music is the locally-owned and operated choice for music instruments and equipment in Williamson county and southern Illinois. Backed by over three decades of experience, our store has become a cornerstone of the Marion community.

For professional musicians, we have a wide selection of guitars, amps and keyboards. Looking for a new guitar? We have everything from beginners' instruments to collector's items, both electric (hollow-body and solid) and acoustic guitars. Our main guitar brands are Ibanez, Takamine and LTD. Our staff can help you find the perfect match for your style and sound. We also have staff on hand to handle guitar repair, modification and even custom guitar artwork. Byassee Music is proud to be the largest Ibanez dealer in southern Illinois - the same brand used by legendary rockers like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and John Petrucci as well as renowned jazz guitarists like George Benson and Pat Metheny. But our selection of music instruments isn't just about guitars. We also carry the full line of Roland and Casio keyboards and acoustic pianos.
For student musicians, we have a simple and affordable rental plan for music instruments - with no interest and the ability to trade in against the purchase of a new instrument. Many of the most popular instruments start at just $15 per month and our selection of band instruments includes strings as well as brass and woodwinds. For band instrument repairs, we have a full-time band repair technician in-house.
At Byassee Music, we pride ourselves on personalized service. Founded by James and Linda Byassee and fueled by their family's passion for music, the Byassee family has been outfitting southern Illinois' musicians for over 35 years.
