Mississippi Valley Christian School is located in Alton, Illinois and is a ministry of Faith Baptist Church of Godfrey, IL. It has been operating since 1974 and ministers to children in Kindergarten (half day or full day 4 & 5 years old) through 12th grade. Our students score very high on the Stanford Achievement tests, the ACT test, and the SAT test. Almost all of our graduates go on to college.
MVCS offers a quality Christian education at an affordable price, especially for multi-children families. It is our purpose to provide an environment for academic learning and spiritual growth from a biblical perspective. We use Christian textbooks and all of our teachers are saved.
Students may participate in our Illinois Association of Christian Schools (IACS) academic competitions and possibly go on to the national competition through the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS). MVCS offers opportunities for students to develop other talents. We have a Fine Arts and a Sports program. The sports program offers boys soccer and basketball, and girls volleyball and basketball.
As Jesus Christ grew spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially (Luke 2:52), MVCS endeavors to offer this same balance. Our daily Bible classes, weekly chapels, Christian curriculum, and caring teachers help to accomplish this goal.
