Peoria Academy Speech Team Celebrates Success!
Congratulations to the Peoria Academy Speech Team for their showing at the Area 9 State Speech Tournament Friday, November 5, 2010, at Norwood School in Peoria. Peoria Academy competed along with eight other schools (PeoriaHeights Grade School, St. Thomas, Hollis, Mark Bills, Norwood, Roosevelt, Washington Gifted, and Springfield Iles) in the Area 9 competition. Out of the 20 groups that performed, they walked away with 17 first places and only 3 second places. The Peoria Academy team far surpassed their competitors with their total percentage of first and second places. Additionally, the Peoria Academy team had the highest number of Judges’ Choice Winners of all the schools in their area. While some schools did not have any Judges’ Choice Winners, Peoria Academy received 6 out of 15 that were presented. Thanks for all of your hard work and for sharing your fabulous talents. Fantastic job!
