We also have articles about traveling with and taking care of your Best Friend.
You may want to start with a list of our Care and Diagnosis Articles, and then look over our Services Page. The holidays may be over, but don't forget that our little four-legged friends don't know that they can't eat the Poinsettia, play with the snow globe, etc. Take a little time to look over our Partial list of Poisonous Substances!

AAHA Client Satisfaction Survey!!
Whitney Veterinary Hospital PC Needs Your Feedback!

You've chosen an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital, one of only 3,000 in the U.S. and Canada. Our accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association means that we've undergone a rigorous evaluation process to ensure that we comply with strict standards in patient care, pain management, surgery and many other areas. Think of it as a guarantee that your pet is receiving the highest quality care available.

Just as we are committed to providing top-level medical care, our practice is dedicated to providing you with the best service possible. Your feedback helps us to anticipate your needs and make improvements. We'd sincerely appreciate it if you could let us know how we are doing by taking our quick and easy, online survey. The survey features about 20 questions and should only take about 10 minutes of your time.

Your responses are strictly confidential unless you request a call back. Rest assured that we will never sell your email address to a third party vendor.

This is the link to begin the survey: AAHA Client Satisfaction Survey!! The first question will ask for a PIN. Use: 11102171

You have until February 3, 2011 - 90 days past the original date that our hospital received a PIN - to complete the survey. Thank you for your time and valuable feedback!

Our Doctors recommend giving heartworm tablets all year for prevention of heartworm and other parasites.
Don't discontinue your flea-prevention yet! Fleas carry tapeworm and other parasites and they try to ride along when your pets come inside. You don't want them to ride in and set up housekeeping for the coming winter. Also, look over our Handouts on winter Care that includes providing your pet with a warm, outside sleeping space.
We still maintain our food drive for Critter Meals On Wheels! Our past response from our generous clients to this food drive has been overwhelming. The pets that would otherwise go to bed hungry thank you for your generous donations.

Keep up your flea and woodtick prevention. This is not a time to become careless. Fleas and ticks won't go dormant outside until it's cold enough to kill them.
We support Foster Pet Outreach! For more information about them, select their logo!

With the cooler temperatures, "Fido" thinks he/she's 2 years old again! They overdo it and hurt themselves! Check with your vet for some pain relief that you can give them. Their arthritis will be acting up with all that additional exercise. Perhaps you and your veterinarian need to discuss adding a glucosamine supplement to your pet's daily diet? Take a look at our handout about Arthritis. It's a very painful condition for humans and for pets! The sudden changes from hot to cold are hard for arthritic joints to cope with.

This is a good time to get your Senior Pet Blood Panels taken care of. We also have a related article about What the Blood test means. After you read those, you may want to read about Senior Pet Care.

Our pets really, really love this dog treat recipe.
Have you tried any of our puzzles yet? They're intended for the younger set, but it's kinda nice to find a simple jigsaw puzzle that goes together quickly. We made some easy JigSaw Puzzles out of some of the puppy and kitten pictures. (Perhaps your new pet is one of them?)

As pets get older, they are less able to cope with the changing temperatures and the stresses of hard play! If you're not sure how your pet is doing, the following articles may help:

National Pet Wellness Month
Does your Pet need a Wellness Exam? | Is Your Cat Healthy?"

This featured article starts with an explanation of the necessary surgery with a link at the bottom of the page to actual surgery photos.

Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Repair

We also have a list of other surgeries that we do on a regular basis
