2010-02-04 - Public Act 096-0859, dealing with funeral processions, was signed into law on January 12. This new law requires all vehicles comprising the funeral procession to have head lights and hazard lights on and gives funeral directors the authority to direct traffic in the absence of law enforcement. This Act has immediate effect. As many of you know, our funeral home has been implementing the use of hazard lights for all processions for the past couple of years knowing full well that this law was coming.
