The company was established in February 1983. Employees of the firm have experience providing engineering services for the past 40 years. The company has been involved in many types of civil engineering and land surveying projects. Most of these projects are located within 60 miles of a company office, which allows for efficient prosecution of the work.
Lewis, Yockey & Brown, Inc. continues to provide civil engineering services on individual projects for the City of Bloomington and the Town of Normal. The company has also been the City/Village Engineer for several communities in central Illinois, including El Paso, Minier, Goodfield, Colfax, LeRoy, Congerville, Cooksville, Deer Creek and Ellsworth.
A significant number of the projects completed by Lewis, Yockey & Brown, Inc. involve land development. Residential subdivisions, commercial developments, site plans, planned unit developments, and their associated infrastructure, account for the majority of the company’s project volume. These private developments are designed in accordance with the appropriate local and state codes and regulations. Therefore, we are accustomed to working with local officials in order to get projects approved and constructed.
Lewis, Yockey & Brown, Inc. is prequalified with the Illinois Department of Transportation and the Illinois Capital Development Board. As City/Village Engineer for several municipalities, Lewis, Yockey & Brown, Inc. reviews subdivisions and developments, designed by other consultants, to assure that the project conforms to local and state codes and regulations and is constructed properly.
