The Widow at Windsor's most frequently asked question... "Where do you find these incredible antique and vintage treasures?"
It may have been the result of a private showing, late at night, at an antique "barn" hidden in the countryside of Holland. A four-hour search yielded a trove of treasures including six, 100-year old stained and leaded glass doors from a bakery in a small Dutch village. In all the world, they are one of a kind.
Or, it could have been the quaint and charming antique shop in Lille, France, where the widow discovered a pair of 150-year old iron gates, retrieved from the private gardens of a country estate in Northern France.
And then there was the rare opportunity to explore an estate home, built in 1842, and still owned by the builder's descendants. They arrived in this country in 1826 from England and several of their old trunks were still sealed in the attic. What a fabulous discovery including more than 300 books published in the 1850's.

The huge 40 foot container has arrived from Europe filled with treasures from France, England, Italy, Germany, Holland, and Asia. The unloading and unpacking has begun. Visit Widow at Windsor Antiques to be the first to shop these unique, pristine, and serendipitous discoveries.
