Chicago Southland's "FINEST" - Of more than 75 public courses in the circulation area of the Daily Southtown newspaper and with more than 50,000 votes cast, The Sanctuary was voted the readers' favorite golf course in 2004 and was voted 2nd favorite in 2005.
Golf Digest 4 1/2 Stars - Of the 301 courses rated by Golf Digest in Illinois, only 19 have a rating of 4 1/2 stars or more.

Designed by noted architect Steve Halberg, the course stretches 6,846 yards from the black tees (rating 71.6, slope 128) to a comfortable 5,120 yards from the red tees (rating 68.4, slope 117). With 4 sets of tees, The Sanctuary provides a challenge for all skill levels. The "links style" feel of the course features bent grass greens, tees and fairways with light to heavy fescue rough areas. 75 bunkers dot the course and water hazards come into play on 14 different holes.
Along with 18 superbly conditioned holes of golf, The Sanctuary has an excellent grass practice range, short game area, putting green, full service golf shop with PGA Professional Bob Schulz, and great food and beverage offerings in The Bunker Grill.
