This mandate of shaping and influencing young lives requires a special kind of education and love. Development of a child's emotional, physcial, cognitive and social skills is our total commitment. This requires each of us to be giving ourselves; to the children and families we serve. It is a tremendous challenge that requires loyalty and dedication that transcends what is expected in other professions. To succeed, it is imperative that we give every child in our care a spirit of cooperation, family and togetherness. With this unity of purpose, we will teach and serve.
We believe it is of the utmost importance that our service is rendered in a professional manner. Exuding skill, tack and understanding. Every assistant has responsibility to provide exemplary service to the children and parents of Bear Hug Daycare.

Our daily curriculum is easily described as flexible structure. We don't put time limits on our activities, rather we structure the day into logical segments of time. Meal times are consistent for most children.

Everything we do, all day long, is turned into an educational experience. From regular household chores to finger-painting the kids learn to take care of themselves and their environment. They learn to respect themselves and one another. The biggest benefit to family childcare is that a second family is created outside the home with the children, parents and staff in our program!
