St. James AME Church - Bible Study - Acts 4
Week of November 15, 2010
Read Acts 4 and please answer the following questions: (check back next week for the answers)
How did Peter and John’s enemy treat them after they preached to the people? And they laid hands on them, and put [them] in hold unto the next day:. V3
How many men were saved? about five thousand.4
What were Peter’s remarks to the Jerusalem council? That by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, [even] by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 10
What were the council’s remarks to Peter and John? Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. 13
Which miracle was preformed to prove that Peter and John were with Jesus? impotent man, was healed. 9. 14
What threat was given to Peter and John by the council? And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.18
Why did the council let Peter and John go? So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all [men] glorified God for that which was done.21
How old was the man whom the miracle was performed? __40_______________. 22
What did the multitude do after they heard the Word of God? Having land, sold [it], and brought the money, and laid [it] at the apostles' feet.34, 35, 37
