River House Getaway Retreat has been a favorite of Illinois bed and breakfast travelers for over thirteen years. River House B&B's northern Illinois location is just far enough away from Chicago for a relaxing retreat, but close enough to Rockford, Illinois 3rd largest city, to offer a choice variety of entertainment and fine dining. From live theater to antiques, golfing, a Japanese garden, or Rock Cut State Park...It's all nearby! River House is also a convenient base for day trips to visit tourist centers in Chicago-IL, Galena-IL, Madison-WI, Milwaukee-WI, and Spring Green-WI, none more than a ninety minute drive.

The Getaway Lodge offers couples relaxing romantic bed and breakfast accommodations in northern Illinois with three luxury suites: Bordello, Frontier, Timber. Each getaway suite has a private bath, Jacuzzi whirlpool tub or hot tub, plus working in-room fireplace, satellite TV, mini-refrigerator, coffeemaker, free wireless internet and more. The Bordello and Timber suites also feature outside entrance from their own private screened patio or porch. Mix'N Match Romance packages and taste tempting full gourmet breakfast make the Getaway Lodge accommodations a favorite Illinois vacation destination for a relaxing honeymoon, anniversary weekend, or romantic retreat. The Timeaway Lodge offers relaxing B&B lodging for family, business, and leisure travel in northern Illinois. Comfortable and spacious, it contains an extended stay apartment and five family guestrooms. Each guestroom has private bath, free wireless internet, TV, mini-frig, river views, and sleeps up to 4 with king and twin beds. The large common gathering room welcomes group package activities such as Murder Mystery weekend, Foodie Cooks Getaway, Scrapbooking Retreat. Rent the entire house as a family reunion location, for business or church group retreat, or ladies getaway. With its scenic waterfront setting, destination weddings are a lodge specialty. Indoor wedding ceremony and reception for 2 to 65 guests. Outdoor weddings on the lawn or under tent for up to 100 guests.
