Die Musikmeisters German Band completed one of their busiest performance seasons ever in 2010! We are booking dates now for 2011!! Die Musikmeisters Band is available as a trio, four, five or six piece band and even a larger seven, eight or nine piece ensemble. Park Avenue Orchestra - Park Avenue is a dynamic ten-piece dance orchestra andperforms music from a huge musical repertoireincludingSinatra, Tony Bennett, Motown, Disco to top 40 hitsand everything in between.Park Avenuehas been performing in the Chicago area for the past 20 years and brings their professionalismand musical excitementto every event they play. Die Musikmeisters - Die Musikmeisters German Bandplay a rousing blend of traditional German music for Oktoberfest or German themed events. Die Musikmeistershave performed for many Oktoberfest events throughout the Midwest. Their extensive musical repertoire includes avariety of traditional German vocal and instrumental favorites, as well as Polish and American favorites. They can provide a three to eight musician band, depending on what the event calls for.
The Dixieland Jazz Cats - Are you planning a Mardi Gras themed event or just looking for some lively Dixieland Jazz for your event? The Dixieland Jazz Cats play music that will help bring a New Orleans atmosphere to your affair. The Dixieland Jazz Cats can provide a duo, trio, four, five or even a six or seven musician ensemble. Saxophonist and Woodwind Player, Mike Knauf, has performed with many different bands, orchestras and entertainers including Billy Eckstine, Tom Scott, The Temptations, Jimmy Dorsey, Larry Elgart and the "Hooked on Swing" Tour, Milton Berle, Bob Hope, Frank Mantooth, Daniel Rodriguez, Joan Hammel, Ashley AlexanderandThe Ringling Brothers Circus. His big bandexperience includes performances with The Bill O'Connell Big Band, The Chicago Jazz Orchestra, The John Burnett Orchestra, The Grand Avenue BigBand, Chicago Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra, The BBC Big Band and numerous others. He has performed in musicals and shows in the U.S., Europe and the Caribbean.

Mike is currently leading his own jazz quartet and Die Musikmeisters German Band. Mikeis alsoactive as a freelance musician in the Chicago area. He is also a member of thePark Avenue Orchestraand The Upfront Orchestrawho performfor many private and corporate events throughout the Midwest. He has played on many CDs and continues to record with various artists. Mike plays all the saxophones, flute, clarinet and oboe.

In addition to performing, Miketeaches woodwinds privately at St. Giles School in Oak Park, IL and is director of their jazz program. He also teaches private sax, flute and clarinet lessonsat the Player's Bench Music Store in Crystal Lake. Mike is a member of the American Federation of Musicians and the Jazz Education Network.
