Welcome to Bettys Day Care Center, where we provide special attention to your childs need for love and affection, direction in a nurturing, informative environment. Bettys is a constructive play center. Our focus is Academics, but educational activities are done to make learning fun. We play shape bingo, musical chairs, for counting and letters we use a variety of songs, records, cassettes, videos that are enjoyable as well as educational. We have numerous toys, kitchen sets, clothes and props for dramatic play, blocks for counting and building development of muscle skills as well as coordination. The children enjoy learning to color, write letters, numbers and do many varied creative activities, with emphasis on whole language, phonic, science and mathematics. We believe children need constructive play activities to foster their development.

Dependable Service. Quality Care. Betty's Day Care Center is an established child care facility that has been serving Hoffman Estates since 1972. Betty's is more than just a day care center, thoughit is a family center. We are dedicated to fulfilling the needs of the family, and providing the highest standard of care for the child. We do this not only by exceeding the Department of Children and Family Services minimum requirements, but by currently endeavoring to obtain the highest level of accreditation from the Quality Rating System (QRS).
The System offers levels which providers can achieve depending on the type of care they provide. Specific quality criteria must be met to achieve a level. Once a child care provider has met the required criteria for a level, they receive a QRS certificate. There are various indicators of quality that need to be achieved at each Star Level. For each Star Level, the child care learning environment will be evaluated by an independent assessor. (Excerpt from inccrras web site.)

Caring Classrooms. Encouraging Environments.
Each age group has special developmental needs that need to be meet in order for the children to reach their full potential. That is why Betty's Day Care Center has specialized classrooms for children of certain ages. Each classroom's curriculum is designed to peak the interest of the children, develop the skills necessary for their age group, and give them an opportunity to interact with children their own age. Below is an overview of each of our classrooms and the skills that are built there

Childs clothing washed on premises when soiled.
Special attention paid to children who have experienced the loss of a family member, pet or other emotionally upsetting event
Qualified Teachers (Early Childhood Education Degreed and/or MasterLevel)

Winter Holiday Party for the children and families, with presents delivered by Santa, and lots of caroling by the children. Special show by Petey the Clown *Halloween Party
Thanksgiving Dinner (Day Before) and Birthdays

Cognitive Development though; Language Centers - Educational Games and Videos - Science/Math Centers - Creative Activities (Musical and Material)
Large Outdoor Fenced in Playground, divided for age appropriate play
